Data Engineer

Position: Data Engineer (24-month initial contract)

Location: Fully Remote (Poland)

Rate: €30-40 per hour

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer for a 24-month contract, fully remote in Poland, offering a competitive hourly rate of €30-40.

Role Overview:

As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in advancing data-driven solutions across various departments and customer-facing analytics. You’ll work closely with teams to design, build, and maintain scalable data platforms, contributing to both internal and customer-facing projects. This is a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and help enhance data-driven decision-making processes. Experience with Lakehouse architectures is a significant advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data solutions to support data-driven decision-making.
• Develop and optimize data models for reporting and analytics, ensuring performance and accuracy.
• Implement and manage Lakehouse-based architectures for unified batch and real-time processing.
• Design and develop ETL/ELT pipelines and data transformations.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and security across the data ecosystem.
• Monitor and improve performance for large datasets and troubleshoot data-related issues.
• Contribute to documenting data processes, systems, and workflows.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with distributed data processing, particularly in Python (PySpark).
• Familiarity with Lakehouse architectures is a plus.
• Experience with Azure Cloud Services, specifically Azure SQL, Azure Databricks, and Azure Key Vault.
• Agile mindset and experience in agile/scrum environments.
• Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, or a related field is preferred.
