Overview:
We are looking for a personable and approachable Network Engineer with a consultant mindset to join our team. This role emphasizes strong networking fundamentals and client collaboration rather than deep tier-three engineering expertise. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between technical solutions and client needs, with a career trajectory aligning more closely with an IT manager level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site network support and consulting at various client locations.
- Utilize foundational networking knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
- Engage with clients in a relatable and professional manner to ensure solutions align with their needs.
- Perform occasional remote tasks (e.g., server reboots) outside regular hours as required.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of networking experience (Level 2 proficiency).
- General knowledge of networking technologies (Cisco, Meraki, Aruba, etc.).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for client interactions.
- Willingness to travel to client sites (fuel costs reimbursed).
Additional Information:
- On-site work averages 3–4 days per week at client locations (70–80% productivity), with some flexibility for remote work depending on client proximity.
