Our Client:
Our client are a leading Danish Telecommunication's Mobile and Fixed-Access Operator. They have recently undergone a large split of their Network from their Service Provider and are part way through a major transformation of their IT and Network post-split.
Location: Copenhagen (2/3 days per week) - Relocation support offered.
Telecommunications experience is necessary for this position, preferably in the Workforce Management and Assurance domains in a Fixed-Line (Fibre) environment.
Role Summary:
The Enterprise Architect is responsible for the comprehensive design, implementation, and management of end-to-end architectural solutions across IT and Network domains. This role emphasizes pragmatic adherence to industry standards such as the TM Forum eTOM, SID and TAM models. The Enterprise Architect will ensure that solutions are robust, scalable, and meet business and technical requirements, collaborate with stakeholders across business units, delivery/implementation teams, and leadership to deliver architectural governance and outcomes that adhere to our client's business goals, striking a balance between adherence to standards and generating business value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivery of end-to-end architectural solutions that are scalable, integrate across IT and network domains.
- Support the development of roadmaps and long-term vision for the E2E transformation of IT systems, business processes and operational model.
- Close collaboration with department heads and C-Suite leadership to support simplification and modernisation.
- Establish and maintain architecture governance establishing well defined principles that ensure consistency across process, data, and application landscapes.
- Proactive stakeholder engagement to ensure alignment with business goals, driving successful outcomes that support both business and technical objectives.
- Efficient management of architectural resources to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and compliant with relevant standards.
- Continuous improvement in architectural practices, leveraging feedback and lessons learned to refine pragmatic adherence standards and best practices, while focusing on business value generation.
- Effective decommissioning of legacy systems and integration of new solutions, improving operational efficiency.
- Promoting business cases for IT improvements across the full landscape through upgraded processes and future models.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 10 years of experience in architecture, with significant expertise in digital/business transformation programs in the Telecommunications industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of delivering scalable and integrated solutions, covering various functional areas from the BSS/OSS landscape.
- Experience working across business units with effective communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills, facilitating decision-making processes that involve multiple stakeholders from different disciplines, and technical backgrounds, managing conflicting requirements and priorities.
- Strong mentoring skills, with experience managing architecture teams in complex, fast-paced environments.
- Experience with multiple delivery methodologies, working in Agile, Waterfall and hybrid settings.
- Ability to see the bigger picture and think strategically about how different systems, technologies, and business processes fit together and evolve over time.
- Strong documentation skills, with ability to produce different types of architecture artifacts, targeting different audiences.
- Experience working on a complex multivendor environment, with strong negotiation skills to promote and maintain alignment across different groups of vendors, system integrators and partners.
- A deep understanding of cloud-based solution design and migration experience moving systems from on-prem to cloud based in a complex environment.
- Preferably experience in network upgrade programs moving to Fibre and 5G solutions from legacy network systems.
- Strong background in project/program management and governance, from capability mapping to plans and delivery for large transformations.
- Vendor selection with experience in RFP preparation and assessment.
- Experience with various architecture disciplines such as Security, Integration, Data and Infrastructure.
- Experience in providing E2E solutions adhering to strict security and compliance policies.
