Job Description
Soda is partnering with a Platform at the forefront of AI-powered customer communication. We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Golang to design and build scalable, high-performance systems in a collaborative environment.
📍 Location: Germany – Fully Remote
💰 Salary: €60-80K per year

Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of backend architecture, from design to deployment
- Develop and optimize scalable, reliable, and efficient backend services
- Contribute to the overall technical strategy and implementation decisions
- Ensure code quality through best practices, testing, and documentation
- Collaborate with frontend and DevOps teams to maintain system integrity and performance
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience in backend development
- Strong proficiency in Golang for building distributed systems
- Expertise in PostgreSQL or other relational databases, with solid data modelling knowledge
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments
- Understanding of API design, microservices, and scalable system architectures
- Familiarity with event-driven systems (Kafka or similar)
- Ability to work effectively in a remote and collaborative team environment
Bonus Skills (Nice-to-Have):
- Experience with ReBAC (Relationship-Based Access Control)
- Knowledge of gRPC, Azure, Kubernetes administration, Helm, Terraform/OpenTofu, and GitHub Actions
