About the Role

Halr Tech Group is partnering with an innovative technology-driven client to identify a talented DevOps Engineer for a fully remote position. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a forward-thinking team that values automation, scalability, and the integration of emerging AI technologies in engineering workflows.

As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll be responsible for enhancing infrastructure resilience, optimising deployment pipelines, and contributing to the continuous delivery of high-performing applications. You’ll work closely with engineering teams to embed automation at every stage of development, while also leveraging AI tools to improve productivity, observability, and incident response.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build and maintain scalable and secure infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation
  • Manage container orchestration and deployments using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Develop, monitor and maintain CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments (e.g. GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
  • Collaborate with development teams to enable seamless integration and deployment workflows
  • Implement and refine observability tooling (monitoring, logging, alerting) to ensure system reliability and uptime
  • Utilise AI-driven tooling for automated performance tuning, predictive monitoring, anomaly detection, and efficient incident triage
  • Contribute to platform security, compliance, and best practices in cloud-native architecture
  • Support the adoption and evolution of DevOps practices across the organisation

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineer, or Platform Engineer role
  • Strong knowledge of containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration at scale
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools and infrastructure automation (e.g. GitLab CI, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible)
  • Solid understanding of system and application monitoring using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog or similar
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (Bash, Python, or Go)
  • Exposure to AI/ML tooling in DevOps (e.g. for predictive monitoring, smart alerting, or automated documentation)
  • A collaborative mindset with excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Desirable

  • Experience with serverless technologies or microservices architecture
  • Familiarity with AI coding assistants (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Tabnine) or AI-enhanced DevOps platforms
  • Certification in cloud technologies (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, etc.)

Why Apply

  • Join a remote-first, tech-forward company embracing AI and automation at its core
  • Work on complex and high-impact infrastructure challenges
  • Contribute to a growing DevOps culture that values innovation and knowledge sharing
  • Excellent professional development pathways and access to cutting-edge tools
