Forte Connect is hiring a Remote IT Support Specialist for a growing Canadian company. This role is perfect for someone who is tech-savvy, service-oriented, and thrives on solving problems. You’ll play a key role in providing day-to-day technical support to staff and ensuring smooth operation of IT systems in a remote environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide first-line technical support to remote employees via chat, email, or video

• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues

• Set up new user accounts, workstations, and access permissions

• Support the use of productivity tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoom, Slack)

• Escalate unresolved issues to senior IT or external vendors when necessary

• Document issues and resolutions for internal knowledge base

• Assist with system updates, backups, and basic security measures

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in an IT support or helpdesk role

• Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and basic networking principles

• Experience with common support tools and remote access platforms

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Fluent in English, both written and verbal

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience supporting remote teams

• Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk, Freshdesk, or Jira Service Desk)

• Basic understanding of cybersecurity best practices

• Experience with SaaS tools and cloud platforms
