Forte Connect is hiring a Remote IT Support Specialist for a growing Canadian company. This role is perfect for someone who is tech-savvy, service-oriented, and thrives on solving problems. You’ll play a key role in providing day-to-day technical support to staff and ensuring smooth operation of IT systems in a remote environment.


Responsibilities:

β€’ Provide first-line technical support to remote employees via chat, email, or video

β€’ Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues

β€’ Set up new user accounts, workstations, and access permissions

β€’ Support the use of productivity tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoom, Slack)

β€’ Escalate unresolved issues to senior IT or external vendors when necessary

β€’ Document issues and resolutions for internal knowledge base

β€’ Assist with system updates, backups, and basic security measures


Requirements:

β€’ 2+ years of experience in an IT support or helpdesk role

β€’ Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and basic networking principles

β€’ Experience with common support tools and remote access platforms

β€’ Excellent communication and customer service skills

β€’ Ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently

β€’ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

β€’ Fluent in English, both written and verbal


Nice-to-Have:

β€’ Experience supporting remote teams

β€’ Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk, Freshdesk, or Jira Service Desk)

β€’ Basic understanding of cybersecurity best practices

β€’ Experience with SaaS tools and cloud platforms
