Forte Connect is hiring a Remote IT Support Specialist for a growing Canadian company. This role is perfect for someone who is tech-savvy, service-oriented, and thrives on solving problems. Youβll play a key role in providing day-to-day technical support to staff and ensuring smooth operation of IT systems in a remote environment.
Responsibilities:
β’ Provide first-line technical support to remote employees via chat, email, or video
β’ Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues
β’ Set up new user accounts, workstations, and access permissions
β’ Support the use of productivity tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoom, Slack)
β’ Escalate unresolved issues to senior IT or external vendors when necessary
β’ Document issues and resolutions for internal knowledge base
β’ Assist with system updates, backups, and basic security measures
Requirements:
β’ 2+ years of experience in an IT support or helpdesk role
β’ Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and basic networking principles
β’ Experience with common support tools and remote access platforms
β’ Excellent communication and customer service skills
β’ Ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently
β’ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
β’ Fluent in English, both written and verbal
Nice-to-Have:
β’ Experience supporting remote teams
β’ Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk, Freshdesk, or Jira Service Desk)
β’ Basic understanding of cybersecurity best practices
β’ Experience with SaaS tools and cloud platforms
