Senior Network Engineer (contract)

I am recruiting for a senior network engineer to work for a financial services client.

You will be securing networked systems by establishing and enforcing policies, defining, and monitoring access. The role will be BAU.

Experience

• Experienced with firewalls especially working with Cisco, Fortigate, Juniper or Palo Alto.

• Strong technical expertise with Cisco devices, including ACI.

• Able to demonstrate significant network and voice experience.

• Installation and configuration FortiGate firewalls and FortiManager clusters.

• Virtualisation Fortigate gateways for VDOMs firewalls and FortiManagers for ADOMs

• Experience with routing protocols – OSPF and BGP

• Experience with routing technologies such as VRF, VDC, ACL, NAT, etc

• Cisco Certified Network Professional Routing and Switching (CCNP Routing & Switching) or

equivalent level of experience.

• Network Security

• Detailed knowledge in TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, VPN, Wireless, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP) and network monitoring tools

• Any experience with AWS or Azure

• Broad knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems and services

• Collaborative team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Exceptional communication & teamwork skills

• Any experience within banking, financial or investment banking would be useful

This roles is fully remote in the UK, 12 months length in contract, rate is £399 per day via umbrella, inside IR35.
