Cloud Network Engineer

We are looking for a Cloud Network Engineer to join our team!

Responsibilities:

• Project Engineering – Provide support during and after project implementation, including troubleshooting issues,
• Incident management – Managing the L3 level of incident escalation beyond the help desk and Tier 2 support as last stop shop for customer incidents (Tier 3 support),
• Change management – Supporting change planning and automated or manual execution where necessary,
• Problem management – Root Cause investigation from a technology point of view, and the execution of corrective and preventative measures that arise from RCAs,
• Performance & capacity management – monitor performance and capacity of network against SLA target levels and trigger necessary activities proactively,
• Monitoring/Observability – respond to alerts/tickets,
• Release & Lifecycle management – perform software or hardware upgrades as required,
• Knowledge Management – maintain documentation and contribute to improvement of the internal knowledge base,
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts, e.g. in DevOps working groups

Skills/Experience required:

• Minimum 4-6 years of data center network infrastructure experience.
• Solid understanding of the TCP/IP protocol suite.
• Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices.
• Solid Experience in supporting switching & routing fabrics, firewalls, routers, switches and load balancers.
• Strong knowledge across vendor network operating systems (e.g. IOS-XE, NXOS, IOS-XR, eOS).
• Strong knowledge of data center network technologies (Cisco ACI, VXLAN, EVPN, BGP, MPBGP, HSRP, VRRP, OSPF, ISIS, VLAN, VRF, etc.)
• Experience with network automation (Ansible, Python or other scripting languages),
• Experience with GitHub, Ansible, Grafana, Prometheus.

Other Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,
• Knowledge of DevOps and Agile methodology,
• Self-starter, able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment,
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, Command of the English language.
