Network Support Specialist (relocation to Belgium)
Job Description
We are looking for a Network Support Specialist who is willing to relocate to join our Client’s team in Brussels, Belgium.
Eligibility: Must be EU Citizen and be ready to pass EU Clerance.
Location: Fully onsite in Brussels, Belgium.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network Support: Provide first- and second-line network support, resolving incidents and issues efficiently.
- System Installation and Configuration: Install, replace, modify, and configure network systems, ensuring optimal functionality.
- Monitoring: Actively monitor network systems to identify and resolve potential issues before they impact operations.
- Documentation: Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all network systems.
- System Security: Operate and manage Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) to handle installations, moves, and changes while ensuring compliance with security standards.
- Incident Management: Investigate, diagnose, and resolve network-related issues systematically and effectively.
- Network Improvements: Analyze network performance and propose enhancements for better operational efficiency.
- Collaboration: Work with internal and external providers for issue resolution and improvement initiatives.
- Security and Testing: Support security assessments, perform network validation tests, and manage acceptance testing processes.
- Operational Support: Occasionally provide after-hours support as required.
Required Qualifications:
Education & Certification:
- Mandatory:
- Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.
Experience & Skills:
- Mandatory:
- Proficiency in DNS, DHCP, and IP address management systems.
- Understanding of network layers such as Access Layer, Core Layer, and routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP).
- Practical experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE).
- Hands-on experience with wireless network systems.
- Knowledge of firewall systems and configurations.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as Cisco Prime, Cisco CCC, and Zabbix.
- Experience with multi-tenancy environments (e.g., VDC/VRF) and multicast technology.
- Proficiency with network monitoring using Splunk.
- Basic experience with network load balancing techniques.
- Preferable:
- Knowledge of VMware virtual network systems.
- Understanding of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) certificates.
- ITIL certification (Service Operations).
- Experience in an international setting involving military and civilian operations.
