Job Description
We are looking for a Cyber Security Specialist who is willing to relocate to join our team in Mons, Belgium.
Eligibility: Only for EU Citizens.
Key Responsibilities:
System Administration:
- Build, implement, maintain, and support systems within existing cross-domain gateways.
- Perform hardware and software systems installation, configuration, and user or access management.
- Back up and restore systems data to ensure availability.
- Monitor system performance, identify issues, and troubleshoot application problems.
- Develop automation scripts to streamline day-to-day system administration tasks.
System Configuration:
- Configure and maintain Guard and Data Diode systems to ensure functionality.
- Implement and verify settings, adapt release markings, email attachment types, and cross-domain flows.
- Back up configuration data and maintain the integrity of the Guard and Diode systems.
Security Updates and Patches:
- Monitor and test new software updates and patches.
- Support approval processes (A2SL) for software changes.
- Configure and install patches and upgrades for optimal system security.
Documentation:
- Develop and maintain SOPs and documentation for implemented systems and repetitive activities.
- Review and update all security documentation to ensure accuracy.
- Educate and train others on system functionality and cross-domain data exchange processes.
Technical Support:
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and operational issues.
- Collaborate with teams for resolution and provide guidance to end-users for secure data exchanges.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of IT security experience, focusing on Security Tools Management in large organizations.
- Expertise in Linux System Administration (preferably RedHat Enterprise Linux).
- Proficiency in scripting/automation tools (Bash, Python, Ansible) and troubleshooting network issues.
- Extensive understanding of security best practices, hardening, SELinux, and LAN/WAN networking protocols (TCP/IP).
- Experience with system monitoring, instrumentation tools, traffic analysis, and other boundary protection devices such as firewalls.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret system, security, and application logs.
- Industry certifications such as RHCSA, GCUX, Network+, ITIL Foundation, CISSP, CISM, CISA, GSNA, or other SANS GIAC.
- Familiarity with the CIA triad (Confidentiality, Integrity, Availability) and solid stakeholder management skills.
