Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Product Design: Lead the design process from concept to delivery, including user research, ideation, wireframing, prototyping, visual design, and final handoff to engineering teams.
- User-Centered Design: Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to inform design decisions and ensure the products meet user needs and expectations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure design consistency and alignment with business objectives.
- Design System Management: Contribute to the development and maintenance of a consistent design system, ensuring that all products adhere to design guidelines and visual standards.
- Prototyping & Testing: Create interactive prototypes and conduct usability tests to validate design concepts and refine user interfaces.
- Iterative Design: Continuously iterate on design solutions based on feedback and data to improve user satisfaction and overall product quality.
- Visual Design: Deliver high-quality visual design solutions, with attention to detail on typography, color, layout, and consistency.
- Mentorship & Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers, helping them improve their skills and grow within the team.
- Stakeholder Communication: Present design solutions clearly and persuasively to internal teams and stakeholders, incorporating feedback and making adjustments when necessary.
- Experience: 6 to 12 years of professional experience as a product designer, UX/UI designer, or a similar role with a strong portfolio showcasing design work across various platforms.
- Expertise in Design Tools: Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and other prototyping tools like InVision, Axure, etc.
- User-Centered Design: Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, including usability, accessibility, and interaction design.
- UX Research: Experience conducting user research and usability testing, gathering user feedback, and iterating designs based on findings.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Proven ability to collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver user-friendly and business-aligned designs.
- Design Systems: Experience creating and maintaining design systems and ensuring consistency across products.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to simplify complex user flows into intuitive design solutions.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions to non-design stakeholders.
- Leadership Experience: Experience leading design teams or mentoring junior designers.
- Mobile Design Expertise: Experience designing for mobile platforms, including responsive design and mobile-first strategies.
- Front-End Knowledge: Familiarity with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to communicate effectively with engineering teams.
- Agile Methodology: Experience working in an Agile development environment and iterating designs through sprints.
- Animation & Microinteractions: Familiarity with creating engaging animations and microinteractions to enhance user experience.
