The Role

As a Senior Back-end Ruby Engineer, you will:

• Contribute to all aspects of the codebase using a structured development workflow
• Solve technical challenges across the stack, particularly in high-data environments
• Collaborate closely with the Product and Front-end teams to enhance features and system architecture
• Play a key role in scaling the back-end team and fostering technical excellence

Essential skills

• Strong expertise in Ruby on Rails
• Deep expertise in payments
• Experience working in start-up / scale-up environments

Derisable skills

• Experience handling large data sets and event-driven architectures
• A passion for open-source technology (OSS contributions are a plus!)
• Experience with billing or tax systems, such as implementing or integrating financial tools (e.g., CRMs, finance software)
