The Role
As a Senior Back-end Ruby Engineer, you will:
- Contribute to all aspects of the codebase using a structured development workflow
- Solve technical challenges across the stack, particularly in high-data environments
- Collaborate closely with the Product and Front-end teams to enhance features and system architecture
- Play a key role in scaling the back-end team and fostering technical excellence
Essential skills
- Strong expertise in Ruby on Rails
- Deep expertise in payments
- Experience working in start-up / scale-up environments
Derisable skills
- Experience handling large data sets and event-driven architectures
- A passion for open-source technology (OSS contributions are a plus!)
- Experience with billing or tax systems, such as implementing or integrating financial tools (e.g., CRMs, finance software)
