Note : This position is Full Remote from Poland and EST time Zone ( 9AM to 5PM )
The Azure Security Architect will be responsible for leading the security architecture and strategy for cloud-based solutions on Microsoft Azure. This role involves assessing security risks, designing cloud security frameworks, and ensuring the protection of sensitive data in cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Security Architecture Design: Develop and implement secure cloud architectures and strategies tailored to Azure services, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments and threat modeling to identify vulnerabilities within Azure applications, services, and infrastructures.
- Security Policies and Procedures: Establish security policies, standards, and procedures for Azure deployments, ensuring best practices are adhered to.
- Identity and Access Management (IAM): Design and manage IAM systems using Azure Active Directory, role-based access control (RBAC), and conditional access policies.
- Security Governance: Lead security governance initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure security measures align with organizational goals.
- Monitoring and Incident Response: Implement security monitoring solutions for detecting and responding to security incidents, including the design of alerting mechanisms.
- Cloud Security Training: Provide guidance and training to development and operational teams on secure coding practices and cloud security principles.
- Collaboration: Work closely with network, application, and data architects to integrate security controls throughout the Azure development lifecycle.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on Azure security features, emerging threats, and industry trends to continuously improve security measures.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in IT security, with at least 3 years focused on cloud security in Azure.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or equivalent.
Skills:
- Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of Azure services and security features (e.g., Azure Security Center, Azure Sentinel, Azure Key Vault).
- Networking Fundamentals: Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols relevant to cloud environments.
- Security Frameworks: Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS).
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills for threat identification, risk assessment, and incident response.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills to present security concepts effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
