Database Administrator (relocation to Belgium)

We are looking for a skilled Database Administrator who is willing to relocate to join our Client’s team in Brussels, Belgium.

Eligibility: Please note that only EU citizens can be considered for this role.

Duties & Role

• Monitor performance and ensure high availability of database services.
• Define and implement robust database backup and recovery strategies.
• Develop and execute upgrade strategies for database environments.
• Manage, upgrade, and patch BI stack components, including Oracle Analytics, WebLogic, Apache, Tomcat, OBIEE, ODI, and OAS.
• Configure and implement database infrastructure aligned with business and technology needs.
• Perform routine database installations, reconfigurations, and backups in on-premises and cloud environments.
• Automate database administration tasks for enhanced efficiency.
• Maintain database product lifecycle and ensure platforms are up to date.
• Monitor performance statistics and compile regular reports.
• Administer database platforms in a Platform as a Service (PaaS) environment.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of DBMS technologies (Oracle, MySQL Server, PostgreSQL) with proven expertise in at least two.
• Experience with MySQL High Availability/Disaster Recovery solutions (e.g., MySQL InnoDB Cluster, Replicaset, ClusterSet, Replication).
• Proficiency in Oracle Analytics tools, including OBIEE, ODI, and OAS.
• Experience with ORDS, Apache HTTP, and Tomcat administration.
• Expertise in Linux/UNIX and MS Windows Server operating systems.
• In-depth understanding of advanced architectures for High Availability and Disaster Recovery, such as server clustering and virtual infrastructures.
