Role Overview:

As a Senior/Lead Software Engineer at Speedlane, you will play a senior role on our client engagements. That means working with the product and design teams to help clients figure out the best solution to meet their needs and the needs of their end-users. You'll manage the development and deployment of cutting-edge software platforms and in producing high-quality, scalable, and optimized solutions. You will also guide and coach direct reports to help them advance in their career development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Development: Lead the end-to-end design and development of web and mobile applications. Implement high-quality, robust, and scalable solutions using different programming languages, like React, React Native, and Node.js.
• Database Management: Design, implement, and optimize scalable databases. Ensure data integrity, availability, and consistency.
• Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to translate requirements into actionable development tasks and ensure timely delivery.
• Architecture: Architect solutions that are modular, scalable, maintainable, and reusable. Ensure that all solutions are aligned with the latest industry best practices and standards.
• Code Reviews: Lead code review sessions and mentor engineers, helping them elevate their technical skills and adhere to coding best practices.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in the full-stack development realm. Drive the adoption of new techniques, tools, and practices to continuously improve our systems and processes.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 6 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong understanding of modern web and mobile application development paradigms.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience with database design, implementation, and optimization.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and associated tools.
• Optional: Experience with AWS deployment and management.
• Optional: Managing direct reports.
