Based in Innsbruck, this is an opportunity to take a key role in an already funded startup with real customers and revenue. You’ll have the chance to shape our tech stack, lead development efforts, and build a product that redefines hotel CRM.

Your Role & Responsibilities
- Take ownership of Crqlar’s software development, leading the tech team and defining our architecture.
- Manage and optimize our existing software while building new AI-driven features that make hotel guest data even more valuable.
- Design and implement scalable solutions, ensuring high performance as we grow.
- Collaborate closely with the founding team to shape the company’s future direction.
- Drive best practices in software development, security, and infrastructure.
Your Profile
- Several years of experience in software development, with strong expertise in software architecture design.
- Deep knowledge of backend development & infrastructure, particularly:
- MongoDB as the main database
- Spring Boot with Kotlin for REST API
- AWS stack (EC2, Load Balancing, Amplify, CodeCommit, CodeDeploy, CloudWatch, etc.)
- 3-layer architecture (controller, service, repository) with REST API
- Modular monolith setup, structured for easy transition to microservices
- External integrations (Maileon, Stripe, Hobex, Cloudinary, OpenAI, OTA XML & SOAP support)
- Integration testing
- Frontend experience is a plus, particularly with:
- React, TypeScript, MUI v5 (moving to v6/7 soon), React Query
- Projects like Client dashboard, Admin dashboard, and Booking Engine (widget)
- Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and a passion for building scalable and efficient solutions.
- Excellent English skills (German is a plus but not required).
- Familiarity with Docker & Kubernetes for future-proofing our infrastructure is a bonus.
