CTO (Equity-Based, Remote) – Lead the Future of FIND

FIND is a community driven platform with personalize suggestions from friends and authentic reviews for the best one-of-a-kind locations, what we like to call hidden gems. We provide analytical tools to business owners to have actionable insights and increase foot traffic. Our mission is to create meaningful connections between people and unique locations, making the discovery process faster, easier, and more rewarding.

Role Overview:

We’re looking for a hands-on, problem-solving CTO to own the technical vision of FIND. This is not a salaried role—equity-based only—ideal for someone eager to build, iterate, and innovate in a Startup Environment. Our MVP is live on the App Store and Google Play, but we need a technical leader to drive updates, optimize performance, and scale our infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Implement critical updates and potentially refine the codebase to support scaling and new features.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and ensure high performance across platforms.
• Strategize and brainstorm solutions with the team to improve user experience and growth.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a distributed team.

What we are looking for:

• 5+ years experience in software development using React Native, Node.js, Digital Ocean, Expo, and Firebase (or similar technologies).
• Created complex mobile applications in the past (Full-Stack).
• Strong backend expertise (MySQL or similar database management).
• Ability to lead technical decision-making and collaborate effectively in a fast-moving startup environment.
• Creative problem solver willing to tackle challenges and drive product evolution.
