Job Overview

We’re looking for a talented Python Developer freelancer to join our small dev team to work on an evergreen product. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Django and intermediate SQL knowledge. We embrace Extreme Programming (XP) principles, including Test-Driven Development (TDD) and pair programming. 💰 Contract Fee

R35,000 - R45,000 p/m (depending on experience)

⏳ Contract Length

6 months (with option to extend)

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and scale web applications using Django, Postgres, and Gunicorn.
• Collaborate with team members through pair programming to solve challenging problems.
• Drive quality and reliability by adhering to Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices.
• Debug and troubleshoot technical issues within existing applications and services.
• Contribute to improving the development pipeline, deployment processes, and system architecture.

• Proven experience as a Python developer, with a portfolio of projects showcasing your expertise.
• Strong commitment to writing clean and testable code.
• Experience with team-based collaboration.
• Proficiency in Git workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong communication skills and working effectively in a fully remote team.

• Knowledge of Linux and the Ubuntu distro.
• Familiarity with Langchain.
• An interest in LLMs and PyTorch.
