Brand Design & Line Manager

This leading fashion apparel brand are extensively developing a new contemporary minimalist collection, they are now actively seeking a Brand Design & Line Manager that will spearhead and champion this new category into Greater China market.

*Based in Beijing, suitable for candidates who are flexible on relocation for an exciting project*

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading a team of 4-5 designers
• Assume full responsibility for the success of the product collection.
• Analyze weekly sales reports and implement appropriate actions.
• Manage and mentor the design team, fostering personal growth and addressing staff needs.
• Collaborate with other Brand Design & Line Managers and the creative team to enhance the collection and identify market requirements for the target market.
• Actively participate in defining key concepts, trend narratives, and color palettes.
• Organize and engage in inspiration trips and supplier visits alongside the creative team.
• Oversee the handoff of the collection to the buying team, including fabrics, colorways, and style briefs.
• Manage the sample review process.
• Participate in the approval process during the sample stage in collaboration with the creative team.
• Ensure adherence to sample deadlines and oversee the Salesman process.
• Maintain close cooperation with the buying team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or relevant experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in fashion design, with a focus on menswear.
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and MS Office.
• Strong commercial acumen.
• Excellent proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and articulate ideas clearly.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, with strong organizational skills.
• Based in Beijing
