Brand Design & Line Manager
This leading fashion apparel brand are extensively developing a new contemporary minimalist collection, they are now actively seeking a Brand Design & Line Manager that will spearhead and champion this new category into Greater China market.
*Based in Beijing, suitable for candidates who are flexible on relocation for an exciting project*
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading a team of 4-5 designers
- Assume full responsibility for the success of the product collection.
- Analyze weekly sales reports and implement appropriate actions.
- Manage and mentor the design team, fostering personal growth and addressing staff needs.
- Collaborate with other Brand Design & Line Managers and the creative team to enhance the collection and identify market requirements for the target market.
- Actively participate in defining key concepts, trend narratives, and color palettes.
- Organize and engage in inspiration trips and supplier visits alongside the creative team.
- Oversee the handoff of the collection to the buying team, including fabrics, colorways, and style briefs.
- Manage the sample review process.
- Participate in the approval process during the sample stage in collaboration with the creative team.
- Ensure adherence to sample deadlines and oversee the Salesman process.
- Maintain close cooperation with the buying team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or relevant experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fashion design, with a focus on menswear.
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and MS Office.
- Strong commercial acumen.
- Excellent proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and articulate ideas clearly.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, with strong organizational skills.
