About the Role:

We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will play a crucial role in and maintaining, troubleshooting, designing, & implementing, secure, high-performing network infrastructure across various environments. You will collaborate with a globally distributed team to ensure seamless connectivity, security, and performance for our clients and internal systems. Your well-rounded IT experience will also see you helping the broader Managed Operations teams where necessary as time permits on Infra, Cloud & security tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

· Design, implement, and support enterprise-grade network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, and cloud-based networking solutions such as Azure virtual networks.

· Troubleshoot complex network issues, analyse root causes, and implement long-term solutions.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve network architecture, performance, and security.

· Maintain network monitoring, management tools, and automation for efficiency and reliability.

· Configure and maintain firewalls, routers, switches, and load balancers.

· Ensure network compliance with security best practices and industry standards.

· Assist in capacity planning and network scalability strategies.

· Mentor and support junior engineers, sharing knowledge and best practices.

· Document network infrastructure, configurations, and operational procedures.

· Participate in an on-call rotation for critical network issues.

· Support the broader Managed Services team with non-network related tasks where required

Additional Senior-Level Responsibilities:

· Lead and manage network infrastructure projects from planning to implementation.

· Evaluate and recommend new networking technologies to optimize performance and security.

· Work closely with cloud engineers to enhance hybrid cloud network integration.

· Develop and refine network automation and orchestration processes.

· Provide technical leadership and guidance to both internal teams and external stakeholders.

· Manage and resolve issues with LAN/WAN hardware components, including switches, routers, load balancers, and firewalls.

· Take a leadership role in Design, Discovery, and Implementation within the global network, focusing on both international and domestic infrastructure.

· Participate in multi-disciplinary architectural discussions to ensure network infrastructure needs are addressed.

· Execute root cause analysis for network issues using various analytical tools.

· Develop and introduce new solutions aimed at enhancing network processes, productivity, and end-user technology experiences.

Requirements:

· 10+ years of experience in IT, with a significant focus on LAN networking and Network Implementation.

· 5+ years of experience in network engineering roles.

· Strong understanding of networking protocols, security principles, and cloud networking.

· Hands-on experience with enterprise networking hardware, including Cisco Systems routers, switches, WLC, and wireless devices.

· Experience with firewalls, including Palo Alto Networks, Cisco, and Sophos.

· Strong knowledge of Software Defined Networking and Cloud computing concepts.

· Experience with Wireless Network support and Network Access Control (NAC) solutions such as Aruba ClearPass including Starlink

· Familiarity with network management platforms like Solarwinds Orion and Cisco DNA.

· Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving complex network issues.

· Experience with automation and scripting is a plus.

· Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a remote, collaborative environment.

· Certifications such as CCNA (required), with CCNP or other firewall-related certifications preferred.
