What are the key responsibilities of a Business Development Manager?
- Lead new sales generation efforts by crafting and executing strategies to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets.
- Navigate complex organizational structures to identify key executive sponsors and champions, building strong relationships.
- Understand customers' business objectives and run a value-driven sales cycle that ensures mutual success.
- Collaborate with internal teams to move deals forward and ensure customer success throughout the process.
- Consistently meet ARR revenue targets, driving success and contributing to overall business goals.
- Develop and execute sales strategies that generate a strong pipeline, create new opportunities, and deliver predictable bookings.
- Provide timely and insightful feedback to other departments, contributing to broader company strategy.
- Create ROI and business justification reports based on a data-driven approach.
- Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Proven success in sourcing and closing six and seven-figure deals within a designated territory.
- Education: Bachelor’s in Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred but not required).
- 5+ years of enterprise sales experience with a $1M+ quota and a strong track record.
- Experienced in building relationships and selling face-to-face to C-level executives.
- Knowledge of generative AI and familiarity with large language models (LLMs).
- Experience in selling technical SaaS and cloud-based software solutions.
- Collaborative experience with SEs, executives, and engineers.
- Familiarity with target account selling, solution selling, and sales methodologies is a plus.
- Excellent English, both written and spoken.
