Test Engineer
About the Role:
We are seeking a Firmware Test Engineer to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi. This role is crucial in ensuring firmware stability by designing automated test beds, troubleshooting firmware issues, and setting up test frameworks for seamless integration within CI/CD pipelines. You will play a hands-on role in both automated and manual testing while promoting best practices in testing methodologies.
Your Key Responsibilities:
✔️ Develop and implement automated test environments to validate firmware performance and integration
✔️ Identify firmware defects and potential risks, working proactively to resolve issues
✔️ Establish and integrate automated test frameworks within CI/CD pipelines
✔️ Conduct manual testing where automation is not feasible, including acceptance testing
✔️ Provide the foundation for unit testing across the team and enforce best testing practices
✔️ Drive test coverage improvements and maintain high-quality standards
What You Bring to the Team:
🔹 Proven experience in firmware development and testing
🔹 Strong knowledge of electronics and circuit design for test bed development
🔹 Expertise in unit testing frameworks (GTest, PyTest, CTest, etc.)
🔹 Proficiency in C and C++ programming for firmware validation
🔹 Hands-on experience with GitLab/GitHub CI/CD pipelines
🔹 Solid understanding of low-level communication protocols (I2C, CAN, SPI, RS485)
🔹 Experience with GDB for debugging
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE (Relocation Required)
Salary: Tax-Free Package – €70,000 to €90,000 per annum (DOE) + Benefits
