Wordpress Developer

Medier is a leading marketing agency specializing in performance-driven partnerships and innovative marketing solutions within the iGaming industry.

We are seeking a results-oriented WordPress Developer to join our dynamic team in Limassol.

Requirements:

• Strong expertise in WordPress development (custom themes, plugins, REST API)
• Proficiency in PHP (OOP, MVC frameworks, WordPress core development)
• Experience with JavaScript and modern frameworks (React.js, Vue.js, next.js)
• Knowledge of Node.js (for backend development and API integrations)
• Experience with MySQL/MariaDB databases (database architecture, optimization, and queries)
• Good understanding of HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, and modern responsive design principles
• Experience with version control systems (Git/GitHub/GitLab)
• Experience with web security best practices (protection against XSS, CSRF, SQL Injection)
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug issues efficiently
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Good communication skills in English (reading documentation, discussing solutions)

Would be a Plus:‍

• Experience with headless WordPress development (GraphQL, REST API)
• Knowledge of server administration (Linux, Nginx, Apache)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, DigitalOcean)
• Familiarity with Next.js/Nuxt.js for modern frontend development
• Experience with website accessibility (WCAG, ARIA)
• Familiarity with automation tools (Webpack, Gulp, Vite)
• Background in performance optimization (caching, lazy loading, minification)

Duties:‍

• Develop and maintain WordPress websites, both custom-built and template-based
• Create custom WordPress themes and plugins as needed
• Work with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations
• Optimize website speed, security, and overall performance
• Implement modern development methodologies, including CI/CD, version control (Git), and automated testing
• Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other developers to deliver high-quality web solutions
• Solve complex development problems related to WordPress, PHP, and JavaScript
• Maintain and upgrade legacy codebases as needed
