Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Head of IT to lead our IT department, ensuring the robustness, security, and scalability of our infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in IT management, cloud-based architectures (AWS), cybersecurity, compliance with financial regulations, and the ability to lead a high-performing team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the IT strategy aligned with the company’s business goals.
• Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, disaster recovery, and cost optimization.
• Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform and Ansible playbooks for automation and deployment.
• Ensure compliance with financial and IT security regulations, oversee IT Security function, penetration testing, audits, and maintain a strong cybersecurity posture.
• Monitor and manage the outsourced IT Security function, ensuring alignment with company security policies and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee and assist in the implementation and customization of core banking system, open-source platforms, and third-party integrations.
• Improve IT policies, procedures, and response plans.
• Work closely with finance, compliance, AML, and business units to drive IT-enabled solutions.
• Manage the IT Department and ensure seamless collaboration between development, security, and operations teams.
• Oversee adherence to DORA requirements, focusing on operational resilience, incident reporting, and business continuity.
• Manage compliance with PSD2, ensuring secure handling of payment data, authentication processes, and fraud prevention.
• Implement and oversee monitoring solutions such as Zabbix, Amazon Grafana, and Wazuh for security and operational insights.
• Ensure secure API integrations between internal systems and external financial services.
• Optimize network security, VPN configurations, ZTN and remote access solutions for secure remote work.
• Lead IT incident response and disaster recovery planning, ensuring minimal downtime and business continuity.
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance operational efficiency and security.
• Collaborate with third-party vendors and IT security auditors to assess and enhance infrastructure security.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in IT leadership, preferably in the fintech, banking, or EMI sector.
• Strong expertise in AWS cloud services, networking, and IT security frameworks.
• Strong expertise with open-source solutions.
• Deep understanding of IT compliance and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, PCI DSS).
• Proficiency in Terraform, Ansible playbooks, automation tools, and infrastructure as code.
• Experience in developing monitoring tools like Zabbix, Amazon Grafana, and Wazuh.
• Strong expertise in Linux (Ubuntu) and scripting (Bash, Python, etc.).
• Amazon certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Security) are preferred.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and vendors.
