Smartedge’s Client is looking for an individual to help with their AWS DevOps Engineer

Role Name : AWS DevOps Engineer

Role Location : 100% remote

Role Type : Contract

Job Description :

• We are looking for senior DevOps Engineers with a speciality in AWS to support our customer’s telco infrastructure migration hub.
• Design and implementation of scalable and highly available cloud solutions using AWS services.
• Automation of deployment and operational processes through CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure to optimize performance and costs.
• Manage security policies and practices in the AWS environment.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure that the infrastructure meets the requirements of the applications.
• Support for troubleshooting and problem solving in the cloud environment.
• Documentation of processes, architectures and best practices.
• Degree in computer science, information technology or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in DevOps, ideally with a focus on AWS.
• In-depth knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, etc.
• Experience with automation tools (e.g. Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Strong knowledge of scripting and programming languages (e.g. Python, Bash).
• Experience in the use of containers and orchestration platforms (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes) is an advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in an agile environment.
• Excellent communication skills
• Fluent in English
