🏡 Based in Vienna, our client has 80+ employees across Europe. Established in 2011, they rank among the top 20 PWA mobile sites worldwide and they won the 'best app' contest many years in a row. They offer location-based services, helping users find and publish advertising offers and campaigns that can be used free of charge via their iOS, Android and Web apps.
🥷 Currently, they’re looking to hire a Senior/Associate Database Administrator to join their team!
🌍 You can be located in either Germany or Austria & you can work 100% remote if you prefer!
🔑 What would be your key responsibilities?
Basically, as their new DBA, you’ll manage the 🫀 heart of their core product.
In particular:
- You’ll manage MariaDB database for high performance and security, by using MaxScale as a high availability too.
- You won't only troubleshoot and optimize database performance, but work on predicting incidents even before they happen and improving the overall system!
- You’ll implement security policies and manage Azure PaaS databases.
- You’ll conduct capacity planning and ensure data integrity.
- You’ll document database configurations and procedures.
🔍 What are they looking for in this role?
- Ideally, you have 3-5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator.
- Expertise in any database is welcome! Ideally, you've worked with MySQL or MariaDB databases.
- Proficiency in SQL query optimization and troubleshooting.
- Strong skills in database performance tuning, optimization, improvement and security.
- Familiarity with Azure PaaS management and MaxScale is a big plus.
- .NET and infrastructure skills would be considered as an advantage.
- Great work ethic and organization, primarily in a remote setting.

💰 Annual gross compensation package: depending on your seniority, it can be up to ~70k EUR, or up to ~85-90k EUR for a more senior candidate.
