GitOps Engineer (relocation to Belgium)

We are seeking a talented GitOps Engineer willing to relocate to or currently located in Brussels, Belgium.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for architecting and maintaining our Kubernetes-based deployment infrastructure using ArgoCD.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement GitOps workflows for automated application deployments.
• Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters and associated infrastructure.
• Install, configure, and maintain ArgoCD deployment systems.
• Implement security best practices and access controls.
• Set up and manage monitoring and observability solutions.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines integrated with ArgoCD.
• Troubleshoot deployment issues and ensure system reliability.
• Drive continuous improvement in deployment processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience with Kubernetes architecture and components.
• Extensive knowledge of GitOps principles and practices.
• Proven experience with ArgoCD configuration and management.
• Proficiency in writing and managing YAML/JSON configurations.
• Strong understanding of continuous deployment practices.
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Knowledge of networking concepts and security best practices.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).

Technical Expertise

• Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• ArgoCD and GitOps tools.
• CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
• Infrastructure as Code.
• Monitoring and logging systems.
• Network security and RBAC.
• Shell scripting and automation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certifications (CKA, CKAD, or similar).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Contributing to open-source projects.
• Experience with microservices architecture.
