Job Description
Founded 33 years ago, Allied Consultants is an Austin-based firm and premier provider of technical and business staffing solutions for the State of Texas. We are currently seeking an experienced Software QA Analyst to be a key resource on a technical services team for our client, Texas Education Agency (TEA).
**Location of job: 100% Remote**
Responsibilities
The Software QA Analyst performs advanced and/or supervisory computer systems analysis and team lead work, administering the daily operations and activities of testing teams within the QA division of IT (Information Technology). Work involves planning, budgeting, and analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing systems.
This position will work with the project development teams to provide the following Software Testing Services:
- Analyze user requirements, design documents and other documentation to develop detailed test cases
- Create and execute automated functional and regression test cases, report and document all issues, test cases ran, test results, and testing summaries in detail
- Perform manual testing and data validation
- Perform SQL queries to analyze and manipulate data
- Work with development team and customers to clearly understand the functionality under test to define and implement test case automation and clearly communicate to the team
- Execute performance and accessibility testing
The QA group supports and facilitates the implementation of all apps/projects in the company.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- 8 years of testing complex Web Applications
- 8 years of testing all phases of Software Development Life Cycle
- 3 years of Database/SQL Language
- 2 years of API, JSON
Preferred:
- 3 years of test automation experience using open-source technologies and/or in-house frameworks
- 2 years experience in API testing (SOAP and REST).
- 2 years experience with test frameworks like Junit, TestNG
- 1 year experience with WAPT Pro, JMeter, or other performance testing tools
- 1 year experience with Zephyr Scale
- 1 year experience with JIRA
