Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Stelfox is partnering with a Fintech product provider in Dublin who are looking to add a Software QA engineer to their team.

As a QA in the team, you will be involved in all stages of the SDLC, from working on new features, to investigating bugs that might find there way into a live product/production environment. You will be testing software products across both the backend and frontend via a mix of manual and automation testing.

Some of your key tasks will be:

• Design and implement robust automated test suites and end-to-end user flows
• Execute testing strategies for both frontend and backend systems.
• Work on strategic QA initiatives across software development projects.
• Drive continuous improvements of test automation frameworks and methodologies.
• Develop and maintain detailed test cases for each software release cycle
• Perform thorough defect analysis, documentation, and reporting
• Build strong collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams
• Actively contribute to Agile ceremonies and sprint planning

Core experience required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in software quality assurance, across both manual and automated testing
• Advanced knowledge of API testing methodologies and tools
• Deep understanding of Agile development practices and QA integration
• Expertise in developing comprehensive test strategies aligned with business requirements
• Strong programming skills in at least one major language (Python preferred)
• Hands-on experience with modern CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)

Preferred experience can include:

• Experience with cloud-based test automation platforms
• Certifications in relevant QA methodologies or tools
• Experience with performance testing and security testing
• Knowledge of containerisation and microservices architecture.

This position will be based off a hybrid working model in Dublin City, with 2 days in the office and 3 WFH.
