About the Role:
On behalf of our US client, we're seeking a WordPress developer.
You'll be responsible for creating and maintaining custom WordPress websites, ensuring they are visually appealing, user-friendly, and performant. You'll work closely with designers and other developers to bring projects to life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solid WordPress development experience
- Build responsive websites that adapt seamlessly to different devices
- Implement front-end designs using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Troubleshoot and debug website issues
- Optimize websites for speed and performance
- Collaborate effectively with other team members
- Communicate clearly in English, both written and verbal
Required Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in WordPress development
- Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
- Ability to create custom WordPress themes and plugins
- Experience with responsive design principles
- Solid understanding of MySQL databases
- Comfortable using command line and Git version control
- Excellent attention to detail and clean coding practices
- Ability to work effectively in the USA timezone
Bonus Points for:
- Experience with Sage by roots.io
- Familiarity with Tailwind CSS
- Knowledge of React, Redux, or Vue
- PHP back-end development skills
- Shopify/Liquid experience
- Technical SEO knowledge
