Middle/Senior or Team Lead Ruby/React developer (Remote)

We are seeking a skilled Senior Data Engineer to become a part of our dynamic team on-site in Romania. You will work remotely but from Romania-based location. The Company will support your relocation - help with visa, documents, rent and costs (Relocation package)

In this role as a Senior Data Engineer, you will focus on projects involving data integration and ETL processes tailored for cloud-based environments. Your main tasks will include crafting and executing sophisticated data structures, while ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and accessibility of data.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute sophisticated data structures for cloud environments
• Develop ETL workflows utilizing SQL, Python, and other pertinent technologies
• Maintain data integrity, reliability, and accessibility for all relevant parties
• Work with diverse teams to comprehend data integration needs and specifications
• Create and manage documentation such as technical details, data flow charts, and data mappings
• Enhance and monitor data integration workflows to boost performance and efficiency while maintaining data accuracy and integrity

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• 5-8 years of experience in data engineering
• Proficiency in cloud-native or Spark-based ETL tools like AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, or GCP Dataflow
• Strong understanding of SQL for data querying and manipulation
• Familiarity with Snowflake for data warehousing or Databricks
• Background in cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure for data storage and processing
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English at a B2 level
• Readyness to relocate and work on-site and remote in Romania, Europe!
