Database Developer / Administrator (relocation to Belgium)

We are seeking a talented Database Developer / Administrator willing to relocate to or currently located in Brussels, Belgium.

About the Role:

Based in Belgium, you’ll be part of the team responsible for delivering tools for advanced operators to install, upgrade, and manage the Alliance Messaging Hub software and its database. As part of an agile, dynamic team, you will work on cutting-edge technologies to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize database solutions to support compliance products.
• Develop and maintain PL/SQL code to enhance database functionality.
• Utilize Oracle Partitioning to improve performance and scalability.
• Identify and resolve SQL tuning and performance issues in Oracle databases.
• Develop and integrate new features, components, and improvements for compliance tools.
• Implement automated integration and regression testing for database-related functionality.
• Experiment with and implement modern technologies such as container orchestration and CI/CD tooling.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of database operations within an agile development framework.
• Collaborate with a global, cross-functional team to ensure efficient and reliable database operations.
• Engage in end-to-end delivery, including customer interaction and operational support.

Skills and Requirements:

• Expertise in Oracle databases and related technologies.
• Strong PL/SQL development skills.
• Proven ability in SQL tuning and performance issue resolution.
• Experience with Oracle Partitioning to manage large datasets effectively.
• Knowledge of Java development for application integration.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and tools.
• Experience working in a multi-cultural, international environment is a plus.
