Roles and Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and robust IT infrastructure.
- Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues across firewalls, routers, switches, wireless equipment, and cloud environments.
- Research and implement advanced security tools to safeguard on-premises and cloud systems.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks such as HIPAA and NIST.
- Collaborate with IT, data security, and leadership teams to align infrastructure strategies with business goals.
- Mentor IT staff and provide guidance on system enhancements and implementations.
- Lead incident response efforts and perform root cause analysis for critical issues.
- Evaluate emerging technologies to improve efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Manage modernization projects focusing on system performance and network scalability.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation and diagrams for IT systems and solutions.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in a Network Infrastructure Architect or a related role.
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent (required).
- Additional certifications in security or cloud architecture (preferred).
- Proficiency in Cisco networking technologies, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Advanced knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP), VLANs, VPNs, wireless networks, SD-WAN, and MPLS.
- Expertise in network security tools, including SASE (e.g., Zscaler ZIA, ZPA, ZDX), SIEM, and vulnerability management solutions.
- High level knowledge and experience with Office365, VMware platforms (vSAN, vCenter), and Microsoft Azure Cloud.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, Ethernet, wireless standards, and LAN/WAN technologies.
- Proven experience in IT infrastructure design, implementation, and management.
- Experience with cloud calling and collaboration tools such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams Phone.
- Familiarity with performance monitoring tools and disaster recovery planning.
- Effective communication and project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
