Azure Infrastructure Engineer

Job title: Azure Infrastructure Engineer (Contract)

Location: Fully remote!

Contract Duration: 3 months

Rate: Varies on Experience

I am seeking a skilled Azure professional to help secure, scale, and optimize our cloud-based IT environment. This includes enhancing our serverless architecture, implementing Azure best practices, and strengthening our security posture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement Azure Virtual Networks (VNets) and VPNs for secure connectivity.
• Configure and manage Azure Front Door, web apps, and SQL Server.
• Implement Azure Key Vault for secrets management.
• Set up robust Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and identity management.
• Establish secure remote access without IP whitelisting.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 27001 security standards.
• Collaborate on cloud strategy and system architecture improvements.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in Azure infrastructure and cloud security.
• Strong knowledge of Azure networking (VNets, VPNs, firewalls).
• Expertise in RBAC, Azure AD, and identity protection.
• Familiarity with Azure Key Vault and secret management.
• Understanding of serverless computing, Azure Front Door, and web app management.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001 compliance (preferred).

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
