Our client, the EU Agency eu-LISA, is currently recruiting for a full-time DevOps Engineer in Strasbourg, France, working onsite.


About the Agency

eu-LISA supports the implementation of the EU’s Justice and Home Affairs policies by managing large-scale IT systems.


Location

The position is located in Strasbourg, France. Relocation is required. 


About the Job

As part of the Technology and Software Engineering Unit (TSU), you will contribute to the successful technical implementation of the core IT business systems and solutions managed by eu-LISA. 

As a DevOps Engineer, you will develop applications and select appropriate technical options. You will optimize application development, maintenance and performance by employing design patterns and reusing proven solution specifications to ensure optimum efficiency, functionality and user experience. 


The technical stack includes:

  • Java development
  • containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes, Red Hat, OpenShift)
  • microservices architecture
  • GitHub, SonarQube, ArgoCD, Helm


What are Your tasks: 

  • Analyze and implement technical and business requirements in designs.
  • Design architectures for complex ICT solutions and integration layers.
  • Ensure security by design in all solutions.
  • Identify and evaluate technology innovations.
  • Lead software teams, fostering collaboration and continuous learning.
  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for efficient development.
  • Enhance Lean, Agile, and DevSecOps practices with automation.
  • Engage in all phases of software engineering to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
  • Develop Java distributed systems and event-driven architectures with tools like Apache Kafka.


What is required of your profile:

  • At least 3 years (preferably over 10 years) of professional experience in software engineering and ability to perform the duties in the areas described under “Your tasks”
  • University degree of at least three years from an EU country 
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English (at least C1  level).

  • basic salary, including a 14% cost-of-living adjustment for France and a 16% expatriate allowance for non-French nationals living outside of France:
  • €9,050 (5 years of experience)
