Bioinformatics Software Engineer (m/f/d) in Berlin, Belgrade or Remote

Your Responsibilities

• Planning and developing bioinformatic toolchains and pipeline for NGS diagnostics.
• Requirements analysis, design, development, testing and documentation of software
• Planning of software architecture
• Ensuring a high quality of the developed software and the corresponding documentation
• Cooperation with the stakeholders of the specialist departments, project Manager and Business Partner
• Quality assurance of documents and source code
• Participation in the performance improvement of large data sets
  
  

Your profile

• A doctorate degree (with +3 years work experience) or master degree (with +5 years work experience in the field) in Bioinformatics, computer science or related field
• Strong hands-on programing skills in C++ or Python
• Several years of professional experience in the entire life cycle of software and database development including documentation
• Preferably background in Biology, Medicine or Genetics. NGS knowledge is a plus.
• Enthusiasm and self-motivation
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, combined with good team spirit.
• Ability to set priorities, meet timelines and company objectives.
