Position: Functional Safety Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Functional Safety Engineer to join their dynamic team responsible for bringing up a Safety Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) in the safety module of an advanced chipset. This role is pivotal in ensuring that their systems comply with ISO26262 standards and deliver reliable and secure performance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide coaching to the development teams on functional safety development processes and methods.

- Participate in functional safety reviews, contributing to risk identification and mitigations in software design, implementation, and test procedures to support ISO26262 certification processes.

- Participate in system-level design and architecture discussions to influence the safety and reliability of the final product.

- Contribute to reviews of secure boot and debugging tasks as described in safety standards.

- Ensure that functional safety confirmation measures such as audits and assessments are planned and successfully completed.

- Lead and participate in development teams for safety analysis completion, including SFMEA, FMEA, FMEDA, DFMEA, FTA, and HAZOP.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

- 8+ years of experience in ISO26262 functional safety standards and their application in infotainment software development.

- Experience in functional safety risk assessment and analysis methodologies (HARA, HAZOP, FTA, FMEDA, FMEA).

- Proven experience with safety-critical software development and certification processes.

- Familiarity with advanced chipsets and their safety modules is highly desirable.

- Experience with software development tools, version control systems, and continuous integration environments.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

- Excellent knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
