Position description

Our client is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer to join their team in Lisbon, Portugal, working in a dynamic and collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Kubernetes infrastructure, cloud technologies, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, with a focus on building scalable, secure, and efficient systems. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects at a global leader in Vertical AI SaaS solutions.

Your responsibilities include:

• Design, build, and manage elastic and cost-effective Kubernetes infrastructure (EKS and AKS).
• Collaborate with product teams to implement strategies for Security, Data Protection, and High Availability (HA).
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, AWS CDK, and CloudFormation.
• Implement and manage Continuous Deployment (CD) pipelines with tools like ArgoCD and Helm.
• Troubleshoot Linux and Windows server environments, conducting root cause analysis.
• Enhance monitoring and logging systems using Prometheus and the ELK stack.
• Optimize traffic routing (ingress/egress) for cloud infrastructure.
• Develop cost reduction strategies for cloud environments.
• Ensure compliance with security standards while maintaining robust monitoring and logging practices.

For this role, you should have:

• Extensive experience managing Kubernetes infrastructure, specifically EKS and AKS.
• Proficiency with IaC tools such as Terraform, AWS CDK, and CloudFormation.
• Experience with Continuous Deployment tools like ArgoCD and Helm.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with Linux and Windows servers.
• Expertise in scalable, secure cloud system design.
• Familiarity with security and compliance standards in cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with Prometheus monitoring and the ELK logging system.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as TypeScript or Python.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience optimizing cloud infrastructure costs.
• Knowledge of advanced ingress/egress traffic routing strategies.
