DevOps Support Engineer

On-Call DevOps Engineer (Freelance, Remote - EU Only)

We are seeking x3 experienced On-Call DevOps Engineers with strong Linux systems administration skills and expertise in DevOps tools.

Key Details:

• Positions: 2 DevOps Support Engineers (Bash/Python + Linux)
• Contract Type: Freelance
• Duration: 12+ months
• Location: Fully remote (EU only)

This role requires troubleshooting complex issues, managing critical incidents, and ensuring the availability and performance of our infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

• Linux Expertise: Strong Linux system administration skills, including troubleshooting, root-level directories, and bash/python scripting.

• Tool Proficiency: Experience with monitoring tools (Icinga2, Nagios, Grafana, Prometheus) and incident management platforms (PagerDuty).

• Networking Basics: Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.
• Documentation: Ability to create clear, concise documentation in English for knowledge transfer and operational continuity.

• SSL/TLS Certificates: Basic understanding of certificate management and deployment.

• On-Call Support: Comfortable with after-hours and weekend shifts, responding to incidents and alerts.

• Scripting: Proficient in Bash and Python.
• Security: Experience with root access and adherence to security best practices.
• Communication: Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience with Linux command line.
• Familiarity with server orchestration tools like Foreman.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Puppet) and containerization (Kubernetes).
• Hands-on experience with monitoring/alerting systems like Icinga and Grafana.

Work Schedule:

• Days off: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays
• Work days: Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays
• Shifts: 2 days (8 hours) + 2 days (12 hours)
