What you'll do…

·      Development of new and existing Gutenberg WordPress themes and plugins as well as maintaining and improving existing legacy sites

·      Write efficient maintainable code using web development and testing best practices

·      Create and maintain documentation for software, processes & code used

·      Clear communication with the team and utilize project management tools such as Jira and Confluence

·      Ensuring yours and the team's code is tested/reviewed to the highest standards

·      Define ways of working with internal teams and external agencies

·      Monitor website performance, performing refactors & optimizations where necessary as well as bug fixing

·      Work with other developers within the team

About you...

·      Proficient in HTML5, CSS3/SASS, PHP, JavaScript & React (Gutenberg)

·      3+ years of experience working on full-stack WordPress development

·      Proven track record of developing custom WordPress themes with Gutenberg, FSE as well as Advanced Custom Fields and custom PHP

·      Skilled in React, JSX & the REST API for building or extending Gutenberg blocks

·      Understanding of Gutenberg's architecture, inner workings, and best practices

·      Using Git for version control and basic knowledge of working with Docker

·      Strong understanding of SEO principles and accessibility standards

·      Experience working with APIs and integrations

·      Working in an Agile dev environment is second nature – min 3 years

·      Keen to take ownership of and pride in your work

·      You're highly organized and detail oriented; someone we can rely on to know the answers, or where to find them

·      Enthusiastic, confident, and warm; you want to be part of a team that works hard, supports each other, and has fun with it along the way
