The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Head of AI with a data engineering background to lead our AI strategy, develop scalable solutions, and manage a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities:
- Strategy & Leadership:
- Define and execute the company’s AI strategy aligned with business goals.
- Lead and mentor a team of AI researchers, data scientists, and engineers.
- AI Development:
- Design, build, and deploy scalable AI and machine learning solutions.
- Ensure end-to-end development of AI products, from concept to production.
- Data Engineering:
- Architect and optimize robust data pipelines and infrastructure.
- Utilize big data platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Identify opportunities for AI applications across the organization.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver business value.
- Compliance & Innovation:
- Ensure AI solutions adhere to GDPR and other data privacy regulations.
- Stay ahead of trends in AI tools, technologies, and best practices.
Key Qualifications:
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, AI, or related field (Ph.D. preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in leading AI teams and projects.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong background in data engineering (ETL pipelines, big data platforms, cloud services).
- Proficient in machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and programming languages (Python, Java, Scala).
- Expertise in designing and deploying scalable AI architectures.
- Leadership Skills:
- Proven ability to lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Other Requirements:
- Fluent in English (German proficiency is a plus).
- Knowledge of data governance, ethics, and AI compliance standards.
