Job Description
Job Summary: A Lifestyle Entertainment and Media company is seeking a talented DevOps Engineer to join their growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for building their DevOps program, as well as designing, implementing, and maintaining their CI/CD pipelines, automating deployment processes, monitoring infrastructure, and enhancing their cloud-based architecture. You will collaborate closely with developers, QA, and IT to streamline their build and release processes, enhance system reliability, and improve efficiency across their technology stack.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and scaling to support development and production environments
- Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure high availability and performance
- Work with development teams to optimize and improve application performance and scalability
- Manage and optimize cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), ensuring efficient use of resources
- Develop and enforce security policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues quickly and efficiently
- Contribute to the improvement of infrastructure as code (IaC) practices, using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation
- Participate in on-call rotations to support critical issues as they arise
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role in cloud environments
- Proficiency in cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), with hands-on experience in managing and optimizing resources
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation purposes
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible)
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack)
- Understanding of network security, data encryption, and compliance standards
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Google Professional DevOps Engineer)
- Experience in supporting high-availability, high-performance systems
- Familiarity with version control (Git) and agile development methodologies
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and serverless technologies
