Data Science and Engineering Lead

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Data Engineering and Science Lead. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and executing a range of data engineering and data science activities, with a primary focus on designing and implementing robust ETL processes, pipelines, and various models training. This role requires a strong technical background, leadership skills, and the ability to manage a team effectively.

Responsibilities:

1. Data Science:

• Lead the development and deployment of machine learning models for various business applications.
• Collaborate with data scientists to understand model requirements, perform feature engineering, and optimize model performance.
• Stay current with advancements in machine learning and data science, integrating new techniques and technologies into existing workflows
  
  
  

2. Data Engineering:

• Design, develop, and maintain efficient ETL processes and data pipelines to ensure seamless data flow across various systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand data requirements, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
• Optimize ETL workflows for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Implement data quality checks and monitoring mechanisms to Proactively, Identify, and address issues.
  
  
  

3. Team Leadership:

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of data engineers and data scientists.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, encouraging continuous learning and skill development.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, set goals, and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  
  
  

4. Project Management:

• Oversee end-to-end project delivery, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
• Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.

5. Training and Support:

• Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the technical skills of the team.
• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for data engineering and data science tasks.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in data engineering, ETL processes, and data pipeline development.
• Strong background in machine learning and model development.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and relevant data engineering tools.
• Previous experience in a leadership or managerial role.
