Backend Software Engineer

Location: Remote (based in Ghana, South Africa, Nigeria or Kenya)

Department: Tech & Product Team

Reports to: Chief Technology Officer (CTO) & Co-Founder

As a Backend Software Engineer at MANSA, you'll be the driving force behind our mission to revolutionize global payments through stablecoins and decentralized finance (DeFi). Leveraging your expertise in software development , you'll be delivering and developing cutting-edge fintech solutions that are transforming how money moves across the world.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain software to enable decentralized RWA business
• Write APIs for our DeFi RWA app using appropriate backend technologies (e.g., Python, Node.js, etc.).
• Work closely with frontend engineers to design and implement APIs
• Develop and maintain the database schema and optimize database queries to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Implement functionalities for interacting with blockchain networks, including wallet integrations, transaction processing, and asset management.
• Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code following best practices and coding standards, ensuring the scalability and maintainability of the codebase.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of the application to identify and resolve any functional or performance issues.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
• Experience building a backend system with REST / GraphQL / WebSocket.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes) for deploying and managing backend infrastructure.
• Experience working on decentralized applications (dApps) and familiarity with blockchain technologies and concepts (EVM, Solidity, etc.) is highly desirable.
