We are seeking a confident senior developer for this position.

Candidate Expectations:

We prefer candidates who have a deep understanding of the underlying fundamentals upon which their programmes operate and can organise their work effectively and asynchronously within a team.

In addition to theoretical knowledge of computer science and basic applied skills, the following are required:

• Experience working with PHP 8.0;
• Understanding of the principles of the protocols used (HTTP, WebSocket);
• Knowledge of the principles of building secure web applications (at a minimum, OWASP guidelines);
• Experience working with database management systems (PostgreSQL, ClickHouse) under heavy load (>10k requests per second) and big data (>10 billion rows);
• Experience in building high-performance applications;
• Proficiency in debugging, profiling, tracing, and even benchmarking to identify performance bottlenecks;
• Ability and desire to write minimalist and efficient code using minimal third-party dependencies;
• Understanding of the basic principles of classic (and other) blockchains (Bitcoin, Ethereum) will be a significant advantage.

Your Team's Tasks:

• Studying the design principles of cryptocurrency blockchains and their implementations;
• Backend development (API on Laravel). The scale of potential tasks can be assessed from the documentation (https://blockchair.com/api/docs);
• Developing deep backend systems, for example, exporting data from the Bitcoin/Solana blockchain into PostgreSQL/ClickHouse, which the API will subsequently retrieve data from;
• Writing modules to unify data from blockchains into a single format;
• Maintaining and administering company's infrastructure (own bare metal servers + DigitalOcean).
