We used to ask this question a lot and went on to build Devolution. We are a medium-sized team of top DevOps professionals who build off-the-shelf DevOps environments and tool stacks. Together with managed monitoring solutions, we help our clients deploy their cloud-native applications faster and with fewer people. We help them turn dull and time-consuming parts of their DevOps work into ‘done’.
Our clients come in various sizes and from a wide range of industries. From small startups to state organizations, from crypto to health.
Now we need a Technical Support Engineer that would help take Devolution further.
Here is what you would do:
Responsibilities:
- Respond to platform issues, alerts, and customer queries accurately and promptly - via phone, email, or any other communication channel
- Identify application and infrastructure issues
- Analyze, test, and report issues and malfunctions
- Maintain documentation regarding tracking and solving issues
- Work in shifts, especially night shifts: 3 pm - 11 pm, 11 pm - 7 am
Required:
- Familiarity with Linux system administration and scripting
- Basic troubleshooting skills
- Experience in working with IT systems and tech stacks
- Good communication skills in both writing and verbal English
- Residency/work permit in Serbia
Preferred:
- Willingness to learn and improve your skills and knowledge, to develop into DevOps/SRE/Platform engineer
- Any DevOps/DevOps tooling knowledge is a big plus
- Networking, Linux OS knowledge, databases
- Experience in any programming languages/frameworks
- Monitoring and alerting solutions (Grafana, Prometheus, DataDog...)
- Containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- CI/CD systems (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD...)
