Business Analyst with AI Expertise (relocation to Belgium)
Job Description
We are seeking a talented Business Analyst willing to relocate to or currently located in Brussels, Belgium.
Role Purpose: We are seeking a Business Analyst with a strong foundation in Artificial Intelligence to support the transformation of AI prototypes into actionable services that enhance policy-making and policy-enforcement processes. The successful candidate will analyze, document, and facilitate the implementation of AI services, focusing on aligning these solutions with policy needs and operationalizing AI tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth analysis and documentation of policy needs, business requirements, document requirements, and data requirements for AI applications in policy-making and policy-enforcement.
- Perform business process analysis and modeling, ensuring accurate representation of policy workflows.
- Execute data analysis and modeling to support AI-driven solutions.
- Develop knowledge graph models for data organization and management.
- Engage in prompt engineering for Large Language Models, collaborating with policy officers to validate and optimize AI results.
- Lead business-scale assessments and gap analyses to transform AI prototypes into production-ready services that deliver value in time efficiency, cost reduction, and quality.
- Document the business impact of technical solutions, assessing readiness and maturity for integration into the AI service catalogue.
- Conduct risk analysis, security assessments, and data protection evaluations to ensure compliance and security of AI applications.
- Assist in developing business cases, project charters, and other IT governance documentation.
- Oversee service quality control and continuous improvement of AI solutions in production, contributing to the evolution of the AI service catalogue.
- Track the broader AI landscape within the European Commission, adapting DG SANTE's solutions to align with the EC ecosystem of tools and services.
- Facilitate live demonstrations of AI services and contribute to DG SANTE's communication initiatives to promote AI-driven digital transformation.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in business analysis within AI and digital transformation projects, ideally in a policy-making or policy-enforcement context.
- Proficiency in business process modeling, data analysis and modeling, and knowledge graph modeling.
- Experience with prompt engineering and validating outputs from Large Language Models.
- Strong understanding of risk analysis, security, and data protection, particularly within AI and IT project contexts.
- Experience developing business cases, project charters, and participating in IT governance.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to engaging with policy officers and technical teams.
- Familiarity with AI trends, best practices, and their application within large organizations, ideally within an EC or public sector context.
