Android Software Engineer

€90 - €110 per hour (Based on a 40 hour working week)

Location: Remote

Contract: 9 months

A leading travel company is looking for an experienced Android Software Engineer to join their dynamic team. You will play a key role in building and delivering app-wide features, improving infrastructure, and driving technical excellence. This is a fully remote position, offering you the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects from anywhere.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deliver app-wide features, systems, and services across various technologies and programming languages.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and escalate infrastructure flaws or potential issues.
• Continuously improve services to enhance performance and resource optimization.
• Lead initiatives to enhance development processes and drive business opportunities for the team’s product and the company.
• Mentor and support colleagues in their professional growth, playing a key role in onboarding new team members.
• Promote a collaborative working environment, transforming individual ideas into collective solutions.
• Lead and resolve technical or design discussions and conflicts within the team.
• Contribute to the company’s growth through recruitment efforts, including interviewing and onboarding new hires.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a developer with Java and/or Kotlin and other programming languages.
• At least 3 years of experience working with the Android SDK.
• Experience with Android Jetpack components.
• Familiarity with A/B testing in app development.
• Strong sense of interaction design and attention to detail.
• Experience with automated testing and deploying Android apps.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and a team player with a passion for exploring new technologies and solutions.

Bonus Points For

• Experience with Google Play Store & app distribution processes.
• Having an approved Play Store app.
• Experience with server-driven UI frameworks.
