Java Technical Lead with spoken French (relocation to Portugal)

We are seeking a talented Java Technical Lead fluent in English & French willing to relocate to Portugal. Company offers Visa Sponsorship and good relocation package.
You will lead a team of engineers in designing, developing, and delivering scalable, high-performance Java-based applications. As a key technical leader, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring smooth communication between stakeholders and developers. Your leadership and bilingual communication skills will be critical in driving the success of our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the design, development, and implementation of Java-based applications, ensuring technical excellence.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members in English and French to clarify project goals, technical requirements, and milestones.
- Mentor and guide the development team, conducting code reviews and ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Architect, design, and maintain microservices-based systems using Spring Boot and other Java frameworks.
- Ensure the implementation of RESTful APIs and integration with external systems.
- Promote and implement modern development practices such as continuous integration (CI), continuous delivery (CD), and automated testing.
- Drive collaboration between development teams, product owners, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment on requirements.
- Ensure that the technical solutions comply with security standards and follow best practices.
- Monitor and optimize application performance, troubleshooting issues, and resolving complex technical challenges.
- Stay up to date with new technologies and propose innovative solutions to improve our development processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in software development using Java.
- 3+ years of experience leading development teams and technical projects.
- Strong proficiency in both English and French, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
- Expertise in Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Hibernate, and other Java-related technologies.
- Hands-on experience in developing and maintaining microservices architectures.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and integration with third-party systems.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proven experience with DevOps tools and practices (e.g., Jenkins, Git, CI/CD pipelines).
- Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of security protocols and standards (e.g., OAuth, JWT).
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
