Java Technical Lead with spoken French (relocation to Portugal)

We are seeking a talented Java Technical Lead fluent in English & French willing to relocate to Portugal. Company offers Visa Sponsorship and good relocation package.

You will lead a team of engineers in designing, developing, and delivering scalable, high-performance Java-based applications. As a key technical leader, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring smooth communication between stakeholders and developers. Your leadership and bilingual communication skills will be critical in driving the success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the design, development, and implementation of Java-based applications, ensuring technical excellence.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members in English and French to clarify project goals, technical requirements, and milestones.
• Mentor and guide the development team, conducting code reviews and ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Architect, design, and maintain microservices-based systems using Spring Boot and other Java frameworks.
• Ensure the implementation of RESTful APIs and integration with external systems.
• Promote and implement modern development practices such as continuous integration (CI), continuous delivery (CD), and automated testing.
• Drive collaboration between development teams, product owners, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment on requirements.
• Ensure that the technical solutions comply with security standards and follow best practices.
• Monitor and optimize application performance, troubleshooting issues, and resolving complex technical challenges.
• Stay up to date with new technologies and propose innovative solutions to improve our development processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in software development using Java.
• 3+ years of experience leading development teams and technical projects.
• Strong proficiency in both English and French, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
• Expertise in Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Hibernate, and other Java-related technologies.
• Hands-on experience in developing and maintaining microservices architectures.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and integration with third-party systems.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proven experience with DevOps tools and practices (e.g., Jenkins, Git, CI/CD pipelines).
• Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of security protocols and standards (e.g., OAuth, JWT).
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
