Firewall Expert

Next Ventures are currently looking for multiple Firewall Experts to support a clients infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced firewall solutions that are critical to securing our organization’s networks and systems.

Essential

• Expertise in firewall technologies such as Cisco, Palo Alto, and AlgoSec.
• Strong knowledge of network best practices and compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to analyze and improve firewall performance and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Firewall Design & Architecture: Develop comprehensive firewall architectures and configurations aligned with security requirements and industry best practices.
• Integration & Configuration: Ensure seamless integration of firewalls within the network infrastructure and conduct regular firewall rule reviews to maintain security compliance.
• Documentation & Policy Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and maintain firewall-related policies, standards, and configuration documentation.
• Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor firewall logs and alerts, conducting audits to optimize rule sets and enhance performance based on traffic patterns.
• Incident Response: Provide expert support for installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of firewall systems, and actively participate in incident response to mitigate security threats.

Contract Details

• Fully Remote role
• 6 month rolling contract (will extend)
• EU residence/ Passport holders only
• €350-380 per day
